Coastal Travel Review

Editorial policy

Coastal Travel Review aims to make clear, useful writing about coastal places. We distinguish what can be stated plainly from what depends on context, and we revisit our wording when a reader points out a material error.

Accuracy and context

We check names, descriptions and factual claims against suitable sources before publication. When a subject varies by place or circumstance, we say so rather than presenting one account as universal. We do not present general travel writing as a substitute for current local guidance.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial choices are made for reader relevance, not as a promise of favourable coverage. Paid or partner material is clearly labelled where it appears, and a partnership does not guarantee an article, recommendation or particular conclusion.

Corrections and illustrations

Readers may send corrections through the Contact page. We review credible reports and amend material when warranted, making the nature of a significant correction clear. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; such images are illustrative rather than documentary and are labelled accordingly.
