Send a concise outline of the central idea, why it suits this publication and the shape of the finished piece. Explain what the reader will take away, and name the place or coastal subject involved. We welcome clear explanations, comparisons, histories and thoughtful planning pieces.

Originality and care

Proposals should be original, carefully framed and supported where they make factual claims. Make clear what is observation, interpretation or established information. Avoid unsupported assertions, promotional copy and advice that depends on unverified local conditions.
